carolyn gray, you're wrong, suing the hospital and physican will encourage others to be more careful. To have left this information undisclosed for 2 full months is nothing less than absolute negligence, and could have been avoided. That's the whole point.

I am saddened at Mr. Liew's plight. However, to sue the doctor's or hospital will only damage the procedures to enable the thousands upon thousands who receive an organ.
My husband received a liver from a living donor. He has been alive for nine years and counting.
If this causes more time delay in getting an organ into someone's body with extended tests, waiting for an autopsy, etc. many more will die waiting.
It is very logical to not expect uterine cancer to show up in a man, especially since none ever has. Mr Liew chose to keep the liver when learning of this.
Mrs. Liew, a devout Christian, would do well to pray for an answer to the shortage of organs, thank God that He has her husband's mortality in His hands, and work to secure more organs rather than suing for millions.
It is very sad, indeed, but no one and no system is perfect. Everyone going into a transplant realized this.
